Governing Board Decision

Good Afternoon Scorpion Families,

PLC Charter Schools’ Governing Board decided unanimously in favor of continuing academic instruction via distance learning through the end of the calendar year (through December). The board will reconvene on December 8th to assess our instructional approach and overall needs within the community regarding COVID-19. Thank you to those that joined in today to share your thoughts and statements with the board members. Your voice has an impact and deserves to be heard.

This decision was based on the guidance and recommendations per the Maricopa County and the Arizona Department of Health Services due to this specified community outbreak and the input from our school community.  We will continue to monitor the Maricopa County Department of Health Services and Arizona state guidance for a safe reopening.  Our hope is to see an adequate and consistent decline in the cases we are experiencing within our community which will allow our campus to safely reopen. Our priority is to ensure the safety of our school family.

We would like to encourage our school community to remain diligent maintaining healthy habits, staying safe, as well as continue to be supportive and involved in the educational experience we are providing.

Thank you for all you have done at home to partner with our teachers and staff to best serve the needs of your children.  The recording for the Governing Board meeting can be found by clicking the link below.
